The following dogs are waiting for a home at the Dog Adoption and Welfare Group (DAWG). DAWG is a private, non-profit, no-kill dog rescue organization, owned and operated by volunteers, serving the lost and abandoned dogs of Santa Barbara. The kennels are located at 5480 Overpass Rd (off Patterson Avenue just beyond the County Shelter).

All dogs are on K9 Advantix flea/tick/mosquito protection, are spayed/neutered, have all current shots, a HomeAgain microchip, and come with new adopter consultation with DAWG's trainer if needed.

Adoption Hours: Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays: 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm., other times by appointment. Dogs can be viewed every day during business hours. For more information, email: dawgnsb@yahoo.com, call (805) 681-0561 or visit the Web site.

The Paw Wall	Volunteers & Foster Parents Needed
Immortalize your dog by placing his/her paw print on a ceramic tile which you can personalize with lots of colorful paint. The tile is then placed on the "Paw Wall" at the DAWG Shelter. All proceeds go toward more kennels for shelter dogs. Call 2000 Degrees at (805) 882-1817 for more information. 2 yr. old neutered male Chihuahua/min-pin mix, 9 lbs. Fits nicely in a warm lap.

MEET CHACHI!

8 yr. old neutered male Chihuahua mix with a stub tail, 7.6 lbs. Mr. Personality, very charming, affectionate, confident, makes friends quickly, just wants to be close. Not shy about climbing into strangers’ laps.

Year old spayed female Chihuahua, 6 lbs. Good with other dogs. Cute as a button.

MEET TIGER!

4 yr. old neutered male black and tan Chihuahua mix, 8 lbs. Good with other dogs.

MEET GUINNESS!

1-2 yr. old neutered male pit bull terrier mix, 65 lbs. Sociable boy, good with kids and dogs. Knows basic commands. Smart and eager to please.

MEET GUMBO & LADY!

Gumbo is a 10 yr. old neutered male chocolate lab, 90 lbs. Lady is a 6 yr. old spayed female chocolate lab, 76 lbs. Happy, sociable, loving pups who need to be placed together.

MEET PEARL!

12 yr. old spayed female pointer mix, 43 lbs. Sweet, young at heart, affectionate, knows basic commands.

MEET MAXIMUS!

5 yr. old neutered male purebred St. Bernard, 140 lbs. Gentle giant, well mannered, playful. Good with kids, walks nicely on leash. Big boy!

MEET MARCEE!

Year old spayed female aussie, 40 lbs. Energetic, sensitive, smart, polite and playful with other dogs, very affectionate with her human friends. Still a little timid in new situations., Would do well with another dog and a good morning run.

MEET RICKY!

6-8 yr. old neutered male fawn Chihuahua, 7 lbs. Sweet, calm disposition, good with other dogs, loving and affectionate, will leap into any lap that is not moving. He may have been overlooked at DAWG because he sleeps under his blanket and viewers do not know he is there.

MEET BOWIE!

Bowie a 6 month old neutered male aussie mix, 39 lbs. Very puppyish, high energy, loves to play, good with other dogs and with kids. He needs an active home. In foster care, e-mail dawgadopt@yahoo.com for more info.

4-5 yr. old spayed female chow mixed with a sweet, people oriented, affectionate breed. Low keyed, excellent manners, great bladder. A good pup for apartment dwellers or people who are gone a good portion of the day.

Year old neutered male Jack Russell terrier mix, 15 lbs. Friendly, athletic, high energy. Would enjoy Agility classes. Fine little family dog.

4 month old spayed female boxer mix. A confident playful puppy who likes people and other dogs. A fine family dog.

2 yr. old spayed female Chihuahua mix, 10 lbs. Timid at the shelter, but will be a wonderful loyal pup once she has her own person. Needs a quiet adult household.

6 month old spayed female pit bull terrier mixed with a long-legged breed, 35 lbs. Happy, joyful girl, playful, eager to please and quick to learn. Fine family pup.

MEET MISSY!

5 yr. old spayed female pit bull terrier/chocolate lab, 50 lbs. Sweet, affectionate, well behaved, knows many commands, good with kids and with most other dogs.

MEET JULIA!

Year old spayed female Chihuahua, 8 lbs. A little shy at first but wants to sit in your lap once she knows you. She needs a quiet adult home.

3 yr. old neutered male bull mastiff/ American bulldog mix, 80 lbs. Wants to sit in your lap, lets the other dogs be in charge, fits in well with dogs, cats, kids. Has scheduled hip surgery. Needs permanent home, but will take a temporary foster throughout his recovery.

9 mo. old neutered male tri-colored Chihuahua mix, 6 lbs. Playful, happy boy with broken back leg in cast. Is timid of young children, good with other small dogs.

Year old neutered male Boxer/Great Dane mix, 55 lbs. Sweet, affectionate, good with other dogs, good housemanners.

MEET WATSON BARON!

5-6 yr. old neutered male Jack Russell terrier mix, 20 lbs. Sweet pup, devoted and affectionate with the people he loves. He prefers a nice quiet adult household.

MEET GEORGIA!

2 yr. old spayed female blond Shepherd mix, 59 lbs. Great with dogs, very shy with people. She needs a peaceful home with gentle people who have lots of patience as well as another dog. Has the makings of a very loyal loving pup once she becomes comfortable and settles in.

MEET FARGO!

1-2 yr. old neutered male field style chocolate lab, 85 lbs. Typical lab – goofy, active, happy, sociable, eager to please and trainable. A big strong dog for a big strong family with the stamina to see him through his long lab puppyhood.

MEET TAMA!

5-6 yr. old neutered male Rottie, 90 lbs. Good with dogs, is said to ignore cats. Well mannered, sweet disposition, walks nicely on leash. Needs breed experienced adopter.

MEET TINY!

Year old red nose pit (mixed with lab?), 62 lbs. High energy, playful, sociable and very affectionate with people. Becoming socialized with other dogs, but would probably do best as an only dog. Needs breed experienced home. In foster care, email dawgadopt@yahoo.com for more information.

Year old neutered male white Australian shepherd, 50 lbs. Mr. Happy. Calm, mellow, very playful with other dogs. Hearing impaired, but trained to hand signals. Fine running partner. An active pup who needs an active family. In foster care, contact dawgadopt@yahoo.com for further info. and intro.

MEET SCOUT!

4 yr. old neutered Border collie/Hound mix, 55 lbs. Scout is smart, playful, affectionate (he likes to lean), good with other dogs--all around endearing! He knows many verbal and hand commands. A sweet, sensitive boy who needs a dog-savvy person he can rely upon to be his leader.

MEET JOJO!

2-3 yr. old spayed female Cattle dog mix, 50 lbs. She is smart, curious, very high energy and needs an active home with people who will be active and interactive with her. She would be a great running/biking/hiking partner or a Flyball or Agility champion.

MEET JEFFREY!

2 yr. old neutered male French bulldog/Labrador mix (purebred French bulldog mom, Lab dad), 65 lbs. Playful, snuggly, adores people, lives to please them. Jeffrey has had training and knows basic commands. Gets along with selected other dogs. A favorite at DAWG.

MEET DIZZY!

8 month old spayed female red and white Pit bull terrier mix puppy, 40 lbs. Comfortable, confident and playful with other dogs, a little shy around new people and new things. Has the makings of a fine loyal – and very cute – companion.

MEET TREVOR!

1 ½ yr. old neutered male Boxer mix, 55 lbs. Affectionate, eager to please, gentle, playful pup. Good with kids. Enjoys the company of other dogs, especially the girls. Well mannered, fine family dog.

MEET BILLIE JEAN!

5-6 yr. old spayed female Border collie, 45 lbs. Smart, active, but still likes to sit on your feet and lean against your leg. Excellent housemanners, she is currently DAWG’s office dog. She tends to be dominant, so needs a person(s) smarter and more dominant than she is. Prior herding breed experience helpful.

MEET MARGIE!

Margie is a 3 yr. old spayed female Pit bull terrier mix, 53 lbs. She prefers having her own yard at DAWG with her own dog house and toys to being in a kennel. Margie is affectionate, smart, loves car rides and Dog Park (tho she must be kept on a leash). Margie is a devoted, loyal girl, great company, good running partner, and fine TV watching and reading partner. Prior pit experience preferred.

MEET BAILEY!

2-3 yr. old spayed female Chihuahua mix, 9 lbs. Needs a little time to get to know you, then bonds strongly. Would be happiest in her person’s lap or arms with constant affection, but is also capable of being independent. She needs a calm adult household

MEET BRYCE!

BRYCE is a 3 yr old neutered male Gordon Setter/Aussie or possibly Rottie, mix, 65 lbs. He is good with other dogs, well behaved, has a sweet temperament. He is ultra-loyal to his family and can be somewhat protective. DAWG’s trainer will help with this behavior if needed.

MEET SUNSHINE!

4 yr. old spayed female Pit mix, 55 lbs. Affectionate and snuggly, loyal and smart. Award-winning running partner. Great companion. Does not enjoy the company of other dogs.

MEET BUZZ!

Handsome Buzz needs to be courted, wooed, and charmed with treats, toys and sweet words by a dog savvy person who can help him recover from his experiences with the darker side of humans. Buzz needs an adult household that will respect his boundaries and help him grow. Buzz is active, playful, and would make a good companion for another, easy-going dog.
