The following cats are waiting for a home at the Santa Barbara County
Animal Shelter. Animal Shelter Assistance
Program (ASAP) is an all-volunteer organization based at the Animal
Shelter, and cares for cats awaiting adoption. MAILING address: P.O. Box 357, Goleta, CA 93116.
The Shelter is located at 5473 Overpass Road, off Patterson Avenue
in Santa Barbara. The hours are Monday-Friday from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. Saturday

VOLUNTEERS AND FOSTER PARENTS NEEDED!

You can help the cats and kittens at ASAP by volunteering your time a few hours each week. Volunteer training classes take place from 9 am to 11 am on Saturdays, by appointment.
ASAP also has an immediate need for temporary foster homes for kittens who are too young to remain at the shelter. Training classes are by appointment only.

F/S, 3 years. Sizzler, a Seal Point Siamese with blue eyes, is a bit shy but loves attention and head rubs. She would be happiest as the only cat in an adult-only home. Indoor only.

M/N, 2 years. Runner, a cream and white tabby, is friendly, vocal and loves attention and petting. He’s looking for a place in the sun and a home to call his own.

F/S, 1 year. Melissa, a short-haired black cat, is affectionate and adores attention and pampering. A bit shy, she does like open spaces and is looking forward to a home to call her own.

F/S, 1 year. Ginny, a short-haired torbie, loves people, including children, and adores being petted and pampered. She’s friendly, affectionate and communicative. However, she would probably be happiest as the only cat in your life.

M/N, 5 years. Smokey is long-haired and, as you might guess, a variegated grey and white color. He seems to prefer other cats to people, but time and TLC could change this. Smokey's guardian died, so he's looking for a loving new home.

M/N, 2 years. Mr. Paws, a brown and white tabby, is aptly named, having an extra toe on all four paws. He's cuddly and affectionate, delighting especially in having his head scratched, and is an alpha cat.

F/S, 12 years. Izzy, a black and white medium-hair, is a sweet girl who enjoys attention and does well with children. She would be happiest as the only pet in your life. Indoor only.

F/S, 2 years. Cassie is a short-haired, black and white bobtailed beauty. Pert and energetic, she is good with dogs. Indoor only.

F/S, 2 years. Aurora is a Siamese mix muted tortie point with beautiful blue eyes. ASAP volunteers describe this gorgeous girl as "a great all-around cat!" She enjoys being held and is okay with other cats. Indoor only.

M/N, 5 years. Albert, a grey and white short-hair, is a great all-around family pet. Amiable and friendly, he gets along with children, other cats and dogs. He has a short tail with a distinctive crook on the end. Indoor preferred.

F/S, 2 years. Nimm is a tortoise-point Siamese mix with beautiful blue eyes. She's playful, affectionate but initially shy. Given time and TLC, she'd probably be happiest as the only cat in your life.

M/N, 7 years. Kobe, a medium-haired smoke tabby with unusual markings, is very shy. With time and TLC, this feline will blossom and make a wonderful pet.

M/N, 5 years. Taz, a Lynx Pt. Siamese mix with gorgeous blue eyes, is shy but oh so sweet! With time and a little TLC, he will blossom in an adult home and make a loyal companion.

F/S, 5 years. Lola, a black short-haired cat, could stand to lose a pound or two but still has no problem climbing! She might be happiest in a home with no other cats.

M/N, 3 years. Scooter, an orange and white cat, is guaranteed to add color to your life! This delightful feline is energetic, curious and playful but he also loves to cuddle. He's good with children and dogs and female cats but is not too fond of male cats. Indoor only.

F/S, 1 year. Robin, a petite short-haired black and white cat with silky fur, is very shy. However, with time and TLC and petting, this shy cat warms up fast and rolls around in pleasure. She's looking for an adult-only home.

F/S, 9 years. Kip, a brown and white tabby, is affectionate and loves being loved! She enjoys the outdoors and would make a perfect outdoor/indoor pet. Gets along with other cats.

F/S, 1 year. April, a short-haired grey tabby, has had six kittens and was a great mother--however, her kitten-bearing days are over! This mellow cat is a bit shy and would probably be happiest in a quiet home.

F/S, 6 years. The guardian of this long-haired calico died, so Sheena is looking for a home to call her own. She is friendly and enjoys the company of humans, but she's looking for a home without dogs or other cats. Indoor only.

F/S, 1 year. Muffin's guardian passed away, so this short-haired brown tabby is looking for a home to call her own. She's very friendly, gets along with children and would make a great family pet.

F/S, 5 years. Sasha, a grayish brown tabby, is gentle and ladylike. She is shy but with time and TLC will blossom.

M/N, 6 years. John Doe, a black and white short-haired tuxedo cat, loves attention, petting and general pampering, rewarding you with a purr. Since he lived alone with an elderly woman who passed away, a little time and TLC may be required for him to become a great family pet.

F/S, 2 years. Gracie, a grey dilute tortie, is a little shy at first but loves attention. She comes out of her shell when the petting begins, purring her thanks.

F/S, 2 years. Gitana, a petite black and white short-haired cat, is a bit shy but affectionate, friendly and mellow. Will be an ideal family pet.

F/S, 9 years. Xuxa's previous guardian passed away, so this feline is looking for a new home to call her own. Would be an ideal indoor/outdoor pet.

F/S, 1 year. This petite brown and white tabby is Miss Independent, enjoying petting and pampering on her terms. Frieda would be a great indoor/outdoor cat.

F/S, 12 years. Charlee is big, beautiful and vocal--and eager to rule your household! She does OK with dogs, but would prefer being the only feline in your life.
